Saint John Chrysostom, renowned preacher and Archbishop of Constantinople, endured persecution and exile for his fearless defense of Christian truth and reform. Despite harsh trials, including exile to remote regions and suffering from cold and hostility, he remained steadfast in faith and pastoral care. He died in exile in 407, and decades later his relics were honored in Constantinople, solidifying his lasting legacy as a model of holiness and courage.
